Big drop in AFP!

Hi Everyone,

We got a call from the doctor today regarding his alpha fetoprotein. When he was first diagnosed the count was 150,000. When they drew blood on Monday the doctor was hoping they had dropped to maybe 75,000 or 50,000. His count is 1,932. According to the doctor this is a good thing and all 3 of the doctors in the clinic are pleased with how low they are after just one round of chemo. They told us this meant that the cancer cells are dying and the tumor is shrinking!!!! We are thrilled to hear this news!!! In fact, the nurse practitioner told us the 3 doctors were amazed it had dropped so low. :)

We go back to the clinic in the morning to possibly be admitted for chemo. We will be admitted if his counts are low enough. We will post another update sometime tomorrow with more news.

On another note, we got some not so great news today on a non-Nathan related front. Nothing life or death, but if you would all keep it in your prayers we would really appreciate it.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and support.
