Feeding Tube & Blood Tranfusion

Nathan had to go have his out-patient chemo this morning. The doctors visit turned out to be an all day visit. After our Oncologist spoke with the Surgeon, they decided that Nathan needed to have a little more nutrients so they decided to put Nathan on a feeding tube. That was done today under X-ray. He is on a feeding pump for 18 hours a day. He has stopped gaining weight had his appetite really hadn't picked up after his 4th round of chemo. He will have the feeding tube until after surgery and he is able to eat enough to sustain himself again.

He also had to have a blood transfusion today. His hemoglobin was 7.2 and it should be somewhere between 9-10. He is now looking a little less pale and hopefully he will start feeling better soon.

We have to go back on Thursday to have his weight checked and his blood counts checked. Hopefully by then we will know more about a date for the surgery.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and support.
