Round 5 & Fever

Nathan was admitted to the hospital on Monday for his 5th round of chemo. Chemo started at 10 am Tuesday. He has been fussy since yesterday morning and more so tonight. We checked his temperature around 8:30 and discovered that he has a temperature of 103.8 (anything over 100.4 they start antibiotics for). The Resident came in to make sure everything looked okay then went to call the Oncologist. The took blood for cultures which will run for 48 hours to see if there is an infection, usually it will show after 24 hours but if nothing shows after 48 hours, then he more than likely doesn't have an infection. His fever is now down to 102.1 before Tylenol. The nurse just gave him Tylenol and started his antibiotic. We will at least be in here for 48 hours and if he has an infection there is a possibility that we will be in here for 10 days.

We know that God is still taking care of Nathan, but please pray that he doesn't have an infection.

As always, thank you for your continued prayers and support.
