Post Surgery Update

Hi All,

Nathan had his surgery yesterday morning. Everything went well. The tumor separated from the vessels & veins like they needed to and the surgeon is confident that he got all of the cancer. He went back for surgery at 7:30 am CST, the surgery started at 10, the tumor was out by 2 and he was in recovery at 4. It was a very long day, but we are extremely blessed that everything went as planned. Dr. Lovvorn came out to talk with us at 2 and told us that everything went as planned and Nathan did great throughout the surgery. He also told us that the surgery could not have gone better! The tumor was about the size of a large egg

Nathan was then moved to the PCCU for his post-op care. He had several IV's, an epidural for pain management, his feeding tube, another tube pumping things out of his stomach, a drainage tube coming from his abdomen to catch any blood and a catheter. He is still pretty sedated but is doing really well. He will me moved into a room later today for the remainder of his hospital stay.

Nathan is now on the road to recovery and we can put these last 5 months behind us & have a healthy little boy! We are so blessed to have so many people praying and thinking about us. Thank you all. We will send out another update soon.
